What’s happening at this year’s South Suffolk Show and what’s new?

The Flying Gunners will be providing an enthralling display in 2010.
In the Grand Ring, we are extremely pleased to have “The Flying Gunners”, The Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display Team, who will be providing us with two spectacular displays. In support there will be a display by “Stallions Of Substance” who will be showing us their own unique brand of horse magic. The Grand Ring programme will also include a number of horse showing classes, including the judging of the Working Hunter and Private Driving classes, a parade of Hounds, a Gundog Display, a Grand Parade of Livestock, a major part of any agricultural show and a display of classic cars by the West Suffolk Motor Club.
The Countryside Ring will feature the judging of the Donkey and the Suffolk Heavy Horse classes and a Side Saddle Costume Concours d’Elegance class, along with displays by the Suffolk Gundog Club, Terrier Racing with the EastAnglian Terrier Club and Hawk Experience who will be providing us with their unique Falconry Demonstrations.

'Stallions of substance' will provide a show of unique horsemanship in 2010.
The show has very strongly supported horse and pony classes and our cattle, sheep and pigs classes are also extremely well supported and over the years the show has produced quite a number of National Champions.
In 2009 we had well over 150 trade exhibitors in attendance with both agricultural and non-agricultural and local and national companies and organisations represented. There is also a steadily growing Craft Marquee, which contains a very diverse range of stalls and our ever expanding Food Hall, which provides us with an interesting and tasty range of produce, both of which will again be sited adjacent to the Shopping Village There is also an excellent Children’s Area featuring modern day slides and activities along with traditional fairground rides and stalls and a superb range of vintage tractors and farm machinery along with displays of Poultry and Rabbits.
