Welcome

The South Suffolk Show is a lovely day out for all the family.

The 2012  South Suffolk Show will be taking place at its usual location: Ampton Racecourse (near Ingham, Bury St Edmunds, on the A134), on Sunday 13th  May 2012 BUT it will have a totally new layout with much more free parking space.

The South Suffolk Show is a one day agricultural show regarded by many as one of the leading shows of its type in the eastern region with cattle, sheep, pigs, horses and a wide array of attractions. It covers an area in the region of 80 acres and caters for a wide range of tastes and all age groups.

In 2011, approximately 12,000 people flocked to the South Suffolk Show and enjoyed a lovely, traditional, rural day out, not to mention the craft marquee, food hall, countryside area, vintage farm machinery, trade stands and superb children’s entertainments, as well as the horse and livestock classes.

In 2011 the show received a number of enquiries about dogs being allowed onto the show ground and the answer is that YES they are allowed BUT that they must be on a lead at all times. Owners are advised that they must consider their pets’ welfare if conditions are hot and very dry.

A lot of people are contacting the show office regarding the effect of the weather on the showground.  THE SHOW WILL GO AHEAD. The ground is holding up really well and if we get a little spell of dry then in the words of the Show Director “It will be almost perfect “. SEE you there.
